Tournament Description

100 players maximum!
Update 6/23/8: 92/100 spots are filled... Due to some cancellations

Shasta Shootout Skinny
Date: June 28th & 29th
Entry Fee-$50 members ($55 non members)
$20.00 = Tournament fee
$30.00 = Mt Shasta Resort Rental
-includes 2 nights camping -2 days of golf
-2 Round tournament Sat
-skins for top 20 handicap points earners
-1 Round doubles Sun
-Party and use of resort Sat night
Sat – Shasta Series Tournament
• 8:30 am Registration OVER
• 9:00 am Players meeting
• Rd 2 Start ½ hour after finish of Rd 1
Sun-Doubles Tournament
• 9:00 am Players meeting
Doubles – bring your own partner handicap – 18 handicap per golfer max. Add handicap together and divide by two. Each golfer must take 9 drives during the round.

For those of you who are familar with the series you know that the players holding the top 20 bag tags at the end of Saturday finals get awesome prizes (trophys for the top 3, and a nice basket for #1).

The problem may be that you don't have a tag and couldn't get one. Well here is your chance to get one for sure. Show up and play at the shootout and you can buy a tag. After the shootout is over, only previous members can buy them from the end of June 08' until the next seasons opening event in November 08'. At that point they will be for sale to anyone, but there are usually only a handful left by then. A bagtag is your membership card and saves you $5 at every event, and gaurantees you a spot in each event as long as you arrive during closed registration time.

So, come to the shootout and get a membership/bagtag for next season!

This is a non-sanctioned series event and has all cash payouts in divisions, handicaps and doubles. There will $500 added cash in doubles.

This event is limited to 100 players. I will keep the event updated as registrations come in....

If you are not a member or have not even played a single series event, I would recommend this event. The course is only set up here once a year and this is it. Friday arivals are welcome. The course is set up from 10a -2p and a random draw $5 doubles match is played to open up the course for the week-end. Then it's on to the finals on Saturday, Disc-shoes tournament Saturday night, and pick your partner handi-capped doubles on Sunday. If you don't have a handi-cap one will assigned to you based on experience.

Don't miss this event if you love the mountains and disc golf, and a reachable 1000' hole....
