I apologize.

I meant to say Saturday and Monday.

It was a mistake to say Sunday.

Thank you Justin for stating the times for

our Saturday Handicap and Monday Doubles.

Dan it was funny.

You had tied for Second place with Kory

in the "Advanced" Division.  You needed to

compete in a throw off. But the both of you

were not present.  So I had asked who left first

and who left second ?  It was decided by the majority

that the person that stayed the longest, got second.

BFunky1 has your third place disc. He is usually there

on Sundays and Mondays for Handicaps and Doubles.

Sorry I had to take off after completing the second round. I enjoyed the tournament and had fun with my group. If the 3rd place disc is still mine, I'd love to pick it up some weekend down the road at your convenience. I also lost an orange roadrunner to the left of the tree just ahead of the stream on the new hole #2 with my email address on the disc in case anyone finds it. I look forward to the official Debary event taking place soon.

2013 Debary Birthday Fund Raiser Event

The parking lot of the Debary Disc Golf Course was full today

for its Birthday event. We had a good group of Players partaking

in this joyous occasion.  There were Trophies

to be won, CTPs to claim, an “Ace” to be had, and

Bragging rights on being Debary’s Best putter.

First Things first. There was a group of players that were

part of a Traveling League. Today was Debary’s Lucky Day.

We were chosen by them to honor our course by their presence.

Also, several of its members were generous enough to donate to the

concrete fund for our Club. They were Andy, Jim, Brad, and “No Name”

There was also a passer byer named “Dewey” who donated to our fund

as well.

The Playing field was divided into three divisions, Amateurs (8),

Advanced (12), and Open/Pro (8). That was Twenty-Eight Players

competing for a great list of wonderful prizes while donating to our Club.

First there was a total of 21 players who chose to enter the “Ace” Fund.

No one who paid was able to hit an “ACE”, so the money was divided among

Mary B, Justin M, and Steve B. after everyone who paid participated in a

throw off.

CTPs for Round One were won by Henry R, and Joe S.

CTPs for Round Two were won by Justin M, BFunky1, James M, Jamie R,

TheTop three players in each division won a specially made Trophy, and the

First Place Winner in each division also won their entrance fee to be paid

when Debary has their First Official Open Tournament .

 

On behalf of the Debary Disc Golf Club, we appreciate everyone from a

visiting disc golf travel league, passer-byers, people donating who were

not playing, Brett Blackadar (for joining our club, Welcome),  The large group

of 28 players who partook in our Birthday fund Raiser, The people who

supplied a good tasting lunch for our event (comprised of chips, hotdogs,

black-eyed peas, BBQ pulled pork, Sloppy Vic, oh I mean Sloppy Joes,

The people who donated their time, money, and supplies in order to

make the Debary Club’s first event a joyous, and successful time in

our short History.  We look forward to continuing our service to this

area and to the players who partake on our Disc Golf Course.

We hope to complete the course by putting in the remaining tee pads,

tee signs and to put on an Annual Open Tournament that people will enjoy.

Remember, Respect the game, Respect the Course.

Leave your footprints, and take your memories. 

Do not pollute with trash, and do not destroy Mother Nature.

I want to thank all the great guys and gals I met today in debary ...some of you are on the forfont of what  is posible in debary and a speacal thanks to you guys.We had fun and look forward the next event.. 18 short 18 long.thank you jesus

Ladies and Gentlemen,

 

    It is about time for people to start waking up  According to the Weather man,

it is forcasted to be "Cloudy" with a 20 % chance of rain. It is cool right now

and a litttle damp. But it will reach in the 70s for high Temp.  Sounds like

good weather to me.

I will be setting up in an hour. Please check in with me, pay your donation,

state your division and get ready for a good time. I personally like to say

"Thank you for helping us raise the funds needed for our Open" and "Hope

that you enjoy all the hard work that was done to make Debary a 18 Hole

Course".
