South Daytona Reed Canal Park Rules in effect tomorrow.
Courtesy to other patrons as usual.
Let other non - participants use the course.
We do not have permission to close the park to our selfs.
No business out at the park, this means disc sales not allowed.
Sell at Tuscawilla, please. City manager's request.
Look forward to a happy and harmonious event tomorrow.
See everyone bright and early, please.
9 down is 970
10 down 980
12 down 1000
This is at Reed...
numbers are there...
Understand this format will decided in thirds.
Lowest division ALL NEWBIES no exceptions
Middle division will be mostly lower Rated players.
Upper Division Higher Rated Players, plus volunteers to move up and the Top of the Middle Baggers.
This depends on your rating.
If the middle turns out to have 20 show up and upper to have 10 show up then the TOP five rated players will be moving up.
If you are a top rated Advance Player, don't show up and create controversy.
Be ready to move up.
DO NOT want someone with a high rating to 'cakewalk' a win against someone floating around 900 rating.
Some are volunteering to move up.
Please no controversy here.
It's about getting new into the fold.
And after all if you are a seasoned player a 10-12 down start should not be an issue.
And if you have not renewed your PDGA membership, you are not off the hook.
Will be checking scores and making comparisons to others.
This is about 'fair play.'
Been told today that 'some' are not showing because they feel that they can not compete. They said "would have to play against advanced/semi pro baggers."
This is their words....
Now not going to run 10 different divisions.
There are some that say that they are going to participate in the upper division.
Good for them, this is encouraged.
Sure that some will not move and hold their position..... regardless.
The whole idea of this is to make the event challenging.
Either by division or the courses...
No regular disc golfer will participate in the Am division.
This is supposed to be a friendly 'new participant' and regulars happening.
Let's try and be positive...
Undertaking and trying to bring back something that was worthwhile and REALLY fun to be part.
Hope it is not ruined by anything that could bring it down.

I actually took some advice, and moved a shorty....
Been out at Reed more than usual.
Expect more newbies than any event so far.
If this is the case, as in usual fashion, welcome them.
Best of both worlds, newby Reed brings new players to meet more experienced and raising funds at the same time.....
GROW THE SPORT!
Don't snub your nose at Reed Canal.
Know that some pros have been sneaking out on weekends to see the new layout.
#11 is back in the "original" pin placement.
