Tournament Description

The last stop on the MIDGC schedule! We will be playing Branstrom Park in Fremont in the Morning, and then heading east to play the afternoon round at the NEW! Newaygo State Park course, designed by Leonard. Following the round we will hold a players party and awards for the MIDGC players.

Now entering its third season, the Michigan Intercollegiate Disc Golf Challenge Series brings together disc golfers from around the State to play in two divisions. Players in the college division compete against students from other schools, while club players compete against each other.

Each event pits players against each other in a match-play format in pick-your-partner best-shot doubles in the morning and singles in the afternoon. All matches are handicapped based on PDGA player ratings and/or home course averages to ensure that all players, regardless of their skill level, can be competitive.

Anyone can enter. There's a bring-your-partner doubles in the morning and after lunch, a round of singles. Pricing is as follows:

The minimum cost to play is $5 per round. (5 for doubles match play, and 5 for singles). Additional optional costs would be 5 for doubles stroke play, 5 for singles stroke play, and 5 for the ace pool/cash ctp.

Come and join us for this final stop on the series tour. This is a brand NEW course here in Michigan. Leonard Johnson designed it and should offer a good challenge for any player. A players party will follow the final round at Newaygo State Park.
