July 4th Fundraiser

Weatherford Disc Golf Course
July 4th 2009 starts at 9:00 am Sign Ups start at 8:00 am

This is a fundraiser to replace the two stolen baskets. No pay out, however there will be a CTP on every hole. Maxium of two CTP prizes per person. At least nine people will win something. Lots of cool stuff to be given away. Autographed discs, disc golf bag, nice swag, discs, etc. Entry fee is $20.00 per person with all proceeds going directly to replace the stolen baskets so please join us for this special event.

Comment by Nascar Dave on July 1, 2009 at 9:56am: Due to the fact that there is no pre-reg and thus we have an undetermined number of participants, we will use a format like tee times. When a card of five people are ready, we'll start them as early as 8am if possible. The last card will go off at 9am. This should ease the flow and get the Crowley crowd on the road in time for the mini there as well.
I will explain the rules at the first tee to everyone as they get ready to tee off and are waiting for the prior group to finish the hole.
This should allow us to give out the CTP prizes around 11:30 or so.

Also, there may be a special round of doubles afterward with a payout and no entry depending on the number of people we are able to draw for the Fundraiser.
I hope to see alot of people come out for this event.

Comment by Nascar Dave on June 29, 2009 at 11:22am: The outpouring of support is excellent. From all across the country, east coast to west coast, and the heartland. This is probably what I love most about this sport, the brotherhood.
I have more coming in the week from several people but Saturday a Merrell shoe rep sent me a $110.00 gift certificate for sponsorship. That's really cool. We're over twenty discs with another twenty or so coming, we have shirts, towels, stickers, etc etc. We even have a George Foreman Lean Machine Grill to give away. When everything arrives, it'll be close to a thousand dollars worth of CTP's if not more.
I can't say thank you enough to everyone that's already responded.
I hope to see everyone at the course on Saturday morning.
