The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

Gabriel's post asking "what one disc would you reach for?" got me wondering.

I have almost the same question - what one new disc would you choose (off the shelf, never thrown) to play a complete round?

Does it changes our answers? Everyone has a feel for the discs in their bag, how 'beat' they are, etc. What is the disc you would choose for versatility and would reliably throw 'off the shelf' the way you expect?

As usual, my answer today is different than what it would have been a year ago, and it will probably be different next year: z-comet.

Champ leapard great control disc with enough distance.

Vibram's Ibex in X-Link Medium. It holds every line.

A bunch of guys in my (North Idaho) league are slowly buying into the Vibram discs for obvious weather related issues we've been having with the premium plastics. The most common reason for not committing to the discs is that nobody can find a video showcasing the entire flight paths of the drivers and mids. That was a great video showing the different uses for the putters however, and I think that if I played a round with a single disc it would probably be the Ridge. Keep making top notch discs

fresh off the shelf....flx Buzzzzz

Nice thread bump, this is a great post.

I would say Lat 64 Fuse, only because it putts better then my buzzz.

150 gram Star Teebird for this  old noodle arm, can shape any line one should come across.

With the exception being big headwinds, unless fairway surface is firm, smooth, and closely mown; for the inevitable roller.
