champion whippets go for $40- $50 on ebay. tfr star whippets are going for about twenty bucks
I think that's because the Whippet isn't in standard production in Champ plastic. CFR only isn't it?

I got a few DX whippets and I like them but I've never thrown a champ whippet so... no help there.

Stars are ok.  They are plenty stable when new, but they eventually beat up to much and get flippy.  The glow whippet X champions are also more flippy.  I throw a lot of side arm and I love the original Champion Whippet X.  As much as I keep pressing Dunipace to make another run, he never does....  I feel your pain.  The Glow firebirds Discgolf values has rightnow are the flat top ones and they could maybe be a slightly faster replacement.  That or the XXX opto from Latitude.

Was glancing over the eBay and found this :

Not a bad price?

I have a few , but like you said , they are expensive to replace.
I was hoping that champion whippets were going to be for sale when they opened the factory store. Maybe they next time they mold up some discs it will be include.
