I see the pro firebirds listed on Innovas website. I actually have one of those newer ones. this discs is obviously in champion plastic and really looks like the mold that my champion firebirds are from. any thoughts?

Apparantly from what I know that the FLs are like a combined firebird/lepoard mold. Try discgolfcenter.com, they explain way better than I can.
It's not Firebird/Leopard just like TL isn't Teebird/Leopard. The L after any Innova designation is for less stable. Usually this means one of two things. They either removed a nosebead/notch from the lower wing of the disc (Teebird-TL, Firebird -FL) or they flattened out the slight scoop in the lower wing (old mold Beast-Star Beast/BstL)
