The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

After reading some of these posts on this site, you'd think that the average disc golfer lived in the street, finding scraps to survive.
Is life that bad?
How many disc golfers are facing foreclosure?
The comments make some sound irresponsible.

A lot of 'disc golf' is done for FREE by your local organizer.
The 'stuff' they do takes time, thought and effort.
Basically they work for FREE, for you the player.
Respect that. They are not perfect, if they do it wrong, help out.
Even the public course you play on was most likely, designed, installed, tee pads, signs was done for FREE.

How many work for FREE during the week?
As far as distribution and selling of equipment, the prices are not outrageous.

This is a fun sport, but this fun will not spark the big money corporate sponsors to just give money away without a return or profit.

For the 'little' most put into this game, what a bargain!
What do most think?

If you hadn't noticed at the different disc golf sites,
Disc Player is having a save the economy sale until Christmas!

Disc Player Disc Golf Bag
Took a whopping $20 off the price of the Disc Player Sports Disc Golf Bag!
Unprecedented!
Anything worthwhile, takes time, effort and yes some cash....

I think it is funny that most DG bags are just regular gym bags with a little mod.
The price oif disc golf is very cheap ,,,BUT the time it takes to get good is super EXPENSIVE.
I find it harder and harder to find time for regular play..
Tournaments are very expensive ,,in comparison to playing for free, wwhen i played my first tournament it was about a 200 dollar extrvagnza...Food ,gas ,fee's ,new discs,,other swag it can get expensive very fast ...
-----------------------------As for reading posts and feeling like DGers are broke i dont see that,Most people that play are around the same level in life,,maybe a regular job ,regular pay ,not a flashy car or nice house,,BUT thats what the roots of the game is --HIPPIES..
Tim,
PDGA One Day Events are on the way.
Been talking with SunKing about doing ONE Dayers.
Easier and cheaper for players.
