It's a super tight, no design, fairway-less woods hole.

not every hole needs a fairway.. There are routes on that hole, but they are tight. Not everyhole is like that at Hollywoods so 1 or 2 you should have a dificult challenge. And hole 9 is dificult. However I don't think its a luck above skill hole which is what I consider bad design. A finese player should be able to hit those holes. My opinion anyway.
But Ben has played alot more courses than I have so if its bad in his mind than maybe it is. I personally like that entire course. Makes you have some game besides the long bombs.
first time i played that hole i just laughed when i got to the fairway. I dont remember what # the hole was, but i just played there a week ago and there is nothing but a prayer shot.
Is it possible to make a few lanes to the hole? Maybe a hyzer/anhyzer route? tight wooded holes are ok as long as you have some hope of getting through to the pin.
