Deet Eats Discs?

i was playing a round with Blaze yesterday and the bugs were terrible so i went and bought some super bugspray that was like 98.1% Deet and 1.9% other ingredients. he was saying that he heard someone else saying that if deet gets on your hands it will eat away on the discs plastic. T/F?

I wanna say false, I use 99% DEET alot in the Michigan summer and have never noticed ill effects on my plastic.

false, when we play Buckhorn in the summer, there aresome nuclear horse flys that bite the crap out of you, so we use alot of deet products. Never had a problem.

I haven't seen DEET do that to my discs, but it screwed up my ironman watch a lil' bit when I oversprayed my arm...

Deet won't eat the disc however what ever stamp or dye that is on that comes in direct contact will bleed/ruin. I had a small bottle of the deep woods deet leak all over a bag of Ace Race mini's and they are all jack now.

I have had bad days with using bug sprays around plastic, I have noticed is that its not really the amount of DEET in the spray I think some of the INERT INGREDIENTS have some type of solvent in their makeup and will at least mess up a stamp for sure. Down here is South Carolina you could be using bug spray in Dec, so I make it a rule just to keep it away from all plastic

The problem with Deet is not what it will do to your plastic. On the other hand, maybe you will look good with a third ear growing out of your forehead.

I doubt Deet hurt's the plastic to much...short term and as far as a third ear....nah!!!! But you might end up with a third eye and how cool would that be....a real chick magnet! Bahahahaha!!!
