I have never done this. What is the website?
www.discaroo.com

great site and great users i trade on there a bit.
Nothing is as good as trading in person. You can look at it and touch it. Often you can also throw it in the field. It really doesn't matter if the disc in question is of whatever kind of plastic or from which run (or any other details) if the disc flies well.

Trading by website is a bit too close to sending a way for a mail order bride. Heck, I don't even like ordering clothes or shoes by mail. Try before you buy. Unless they have a liberal return policy on the mail order bride.

So I was at a course one day and a guy asked me if I had a particular model of disc that he could buy or trade for. By happenstance I had that model in several weights and colors and I showed him the choices. He said he wanted a blue one. I said, "sure but why don't you throw the various colors and see which you like best?' He agreed and threw them back and forth a few times. Each time, the blue one flew poorly but an orange one flew great. So he came back and took the blue one because he liked the color better. Now this is the guy who should be doing the internet trading.

I think he is my Stockbroker! (LOL)

However you make a good point of being able to TRY discs out. I hear so much BUZZ about the BUZZ Disc and things that I really would like to test fly one in different weights. The problem is I am many miles from any store that sells Disc Golf products, and some of them are dedicated to single manufacturers products. I bought a well respected ROC 11x and I can say I believe it was highly overrated as a straight flier. It was an EBAY purchase and so there is no refund as its now a USED Disc.
I know that you teach clinics on Putting and represent Discraft I believe . Do you bring a selection of Discs to your events for people to try and eventually purchase? If so where are these events held?

Glen, Discraft has hosted "Test Drives" at tournaments where anyone is free to try out any of our discs. Last year Test Drives were hosted at the Amateur National Championships, the Bowling Green Amateur Championships, the Am and Pro World Championships and perhaps others. At the Test Drives, Discraft recruits volunteers to retreive the discs so players can throw them at will. To find out where they may happen in the future, or where a future teaching clinic might happen, you could contact Brian Sullivan (Discraft's marketing guru) at this site or at the Discraft website.

If you happen to run into me at a tournament or a course, I often carry a box of test discs in my car so players can try out the newest stuff. Sometimes players contact me before an event to have me bring along a particular disc for testing. More often a player will tell me they are looking for a particular flight pattern in a disc and ask if if have anything that will do that. And by the way, the Buzzz is a great disc. There is probably a version of the Buzzz (in some plastic or weight) that will fly straight for you. If I saw you throw I could probably direct you to one.
I really only can throw a few disc well now, so i tend to stick with those discs. I have not bought anything off the net, but my brother is big time. He just received his trade and says he really likes it. I think if you know what you are looking for trading might work out good, but for someone like me who has not thrown so many discs, i better just keep learning!
