NEWS'D or NEWSED or maybe even NUSED-- for when a disc is used but new to you
i word i think everyone should know.....

GOOM-BAH - usualy a new player to the sport, they have no etiquite, a goombah is also a problem on the course. in other words a retarded wanna-be disc golfer. the guy you see out there carrying 2 maybe 3 discs, and a saw to cut the trees in thier lie. you usualy dont see a goombah at a tournament. also a collector of lost plastic (you know how we put our name and # on the back and they just scribble over it, and dont even bother try giving it back, then when you see them throwing YOUR plastic they act like they tried calling but you know they never did)

i hate goom-bah's!!!
We call them gomers up here in the midwest
Aren't goombahs those little borwn walking mushroom guys that you jump on to kill in mario?
NYC'D or YORK'D - To call a great shot out loud while its in the air, only to have the disc hit something and getting knocked down.
Aslo known as Niced

in FL we say "You niced me"

Wade and I call that getting "Chazed"....thanks to Chaz Ford who will say one word and at that moment your disc WILL hit a tree...no matter what...
RIMMED: A putt at the basket in which the disc lands in the basket and skirts around the top edge of the lower entrapment area of the basket and eventually popps out.
discfuntional

this is what my wife accuses me of being since most of the time i am thinking about or playing disc golf instead of paying attention to her, wait a minute fellas, honey was you saying something ?
this brings me to the next word that relates to discfuntional and that is - DISCVORCE
this is what my wife threatens me with if i dont stop playing so much disc golf and or spending so much time on this site, wait a minute fellas, no honey i am not on that disc golf site again, this is work related
HALFIE or HALFY : This is when you throw a perfect looking putt usually dead center and it drops suddenly on the rim half in and half out. These usually occur on a up-hill lie. We use this term in Santa Cruz alot. I'll like " Damn bro I almost birdied 16 but my jump putt Halfied out of the basket." Sometimes you get lucky and halfy into the basket. Very rare though... Those pesky hooks of Headrick. I will say this though. The best putter that deals well with halfie's is an Aviar XD because the rim is very shallow and the hooks or nubs on the rim of the basket can't hook on as well to pull it out.
