discribing - the activity of using a Sharpie to place identifying marks on the disc used in the game of disc golf. Each disc golfer has marks specific to themselves as the owner, i.e. their name, logos and more. These marks are sometimes called ( you can come up with a new word for this one, please ) .
WHEN I SIGN MY NAME AND PDGA NUMBER ON MY DISC I CALL IT A (DISCNATURE) LIKE A SIGNATURE...ADM
Anhyzer Bush:

No, not the beer manufacturer....
It's that little bush to the right of the pin (to the left if you're a lefty or sidearm thrower) that your disc lands in when you turn your drive over too much on a short, straight hole.

"Darn it, I flipped it into that anhyzer bush again! Someone grab me another Anheuser Busch to drown my sorrow...."

- JPB
Tombstone........when a disc comes to lie in a vertical state within the ground
NEWS'D or NEWSED or maybe even NUSED-- for when a disc is used but new to you
i word i think everyone should know.....

GOOM-BAH - usualy a new player to the sport, they have no etiquite, a goombah is also a problem on the course. in other words a retarded wanna-be disc golfer. the guy you see out there carrying 2 maybe 3 discs, and a saw to cut the trees in thier lie. you usualy dont see a goombah at a tournament. also a collector of lost plastic (you know how we put our name and # on the back and they just scribble over it, and dont even bother try giving it back, then when you see them throwing YOUR plastic they act like they tried calling but you know they never did)

i hate goom-bah's!!!
We call that "Blading" in Hawaii
NYC'D or YORK'D - To call a great shot out loud while its in the air, only to have the disc hit something and getting knocked down.
RIMMED: A putt at the basket in which the disc lands in the basket and skirts around the top edge of the lower entrapment area of the basket and eventually popps out.
discfuntional

this is what my wife accuses me of being since most of the time i am thinking about or playing disc golf instead of paying attention to her, wait a minute fellas, honey was you saying something ?
HALFIE or HALFY : This is when you throw a perfect looking putt usually dead center and it drops suddenly on the rim half in and half out. These usually occur on a up-hill lie. We use this term in Santa Cruz alot. I'll like " Damn bro I almost birdied 16 but my jump putt Halfied out of the basket." Sometimes you get lucky and halfy into the basket. Very rare though... Those pesky hooks of Headrick. I will say this though. The best putter that deals well with halfie's is an Aviar XD because the rim is very shallow and the hooks or nubs on the rim of the basket can't hook on as well to pull it out.
Note that Stancil Johnson has been in the process of compiling The Disctionary and has been gathering actual words from the sport for at least 10 years. Not sure when the book will come out. He can be contacted at westpolepress@yahoo.com if you would like to offer any more words. Go for it!
