Doubles????

What is the plan for doubles at Montiel?

Monday 9/29/08 Doubles Results for Montiel Park Disc Golf Course:

1st: Allen Risley/Ryan Tierney -15
2nd: Jon Maki/Max Rumbaugh -13
3rd: Danny Zwolenski/Mark Bentley-12


Hole in one: Mark Bentley - Hole #1-long - his first ace ever!!!

Next week (Oct. 6th) will be the last Monday that I will run doubles for this season. I'd like to get a concensus on when we should play our weekly doubles over the winter months. It will have to be on the weekend in order to have enough light. Emerald Isle already has their doubles scheduled for Sundays at noon, so I'm leaning towards Saturday mornings, possibly 9am. That way you have the rest of the day open for other things. Love to get some feedback on that.

2nd: Mike Lust/Alex Lawn -13

Montiel Doubles has moved to Saturday mornings. We tried starting at 9am for a few weeks but have had low turnouts. Next Saturday (Nov. 1st) we will start at 10am. Buy-in is still $5. $4 to payout and $1 to ace pot.

Doubles results for Sat., Oct. 25th

1st: Allen Risley/Dennis - 15 under
2nd : Jon Maki/Seth Rushin - 14 under
3rd: Jonathon Maki/Alex Lawn - 12 under

Dennis and I birdied the first 15 holes in a row, then almost let Jon and Seth in the back door on the last few holes. Fun round for all, I think.

Once I get healthy, I will be out there playing at montiel a lot. It is a good course to ease yourself back on. I hope to make a Sat. Dubs appearance before the end of the year!
