The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

Disc golf is alive in the east coast of Canada. Three of the eastern provinces were represented this weekend in Amherst, Nova Scotia. Sub-freezing temperatures and the threat of snow were no match for north-of-the-border disc golfers. Most of the golfers crammed 54 holes in to cap off a successful day of disc golf in a new territory. The new course (Gogans Greens') is the first basket course east of Montreal, and the first disc golf course of any kind in Nova Scotia. A local club was also established to further the development of disc golf in the area.

Plans are in motion to hold a 'memorial day' disc golf tournament to celebrate these firsts and to encourage growth in the maritime provinces.
