Will the payout be good in Open? I am thinking about skipping out on a Local Houston C-tier to play this one and if 1st place will be $300 or more I'll be there.
Steve I put your event on our growing calendar of events.
Matt
We intend to add cash, not ready to declare that added amount just yet.
We have some pledges of support and one paid sponsorship already.
Your target of $300 should not be a problem.
You will have to get past Matt Orum and many other pros to lift that Pot of Gold.

thanks

td Pot of Gold
Yea Matty is good and I may try to bring some guys from this side of the Sabine.
Don't know anything about the C-tier you're talking about, Matt, but nix it from your calendar. The Pot-0-Gold is where you want to be. Where else can you get a kettle full of gold as first place prize? And that's not even the reason to make the drive, the tournament is killer and the course is challenging. Better bring your "wind game" with you. And bring your friends, let's make this big tournament HUGE.
(My profile pic was taken at the Pot-o-Gold)
I'm going to try to bring Robbie Bratten at least and he was living in Metairie about 6 months ago and said it was a cool course. Anyway wind game is my game so let it blow.
Thanks Terry

Last years event was one of my first pro events. I had a blast and met many new friends from my time spent in NO. The NO Team did an awsome job on redesigning the course. While working down there in fall '06, I was playing the course about twice a week and it seemed each time i went there the course was changed around. Glad ya'll decided on something....;) The new trees are a great addition as well!

I would rate this event one of my favorites of last year and would say its a must play event!... even if you have to drive. I'll be coming fom Michigan to play!

Is hole nine gonna be in the long position? and does anyone know the distance to get over the pond on that hole?
Has leagues started yet? if so what day, ill try to make it

Maybe ill see some of you SN folks next week ( first week of Feb) when I am in NO.
Steve
I am here in NO Played Friday night till dark. I like the new layout. The front nines layout is better, It feels like the houses and path are less of issue now, even it i have a bit of a shank. :)

I will play it safe, that pond has enough of my plastic already!

May be looking for a doubles partner at Greenwood park next weekend. I hurt my leg and have been only throwing standstill shots, but I feel pretty good inside 300. I may be just donating, but if someone wants to donate with me just to play some golf for the day, Ill play. I have played Greenwood twice before, but i heard there were some changes beacuse the Ball course.

Not sure if ill get out this week, field work in front of the house is all i have time for at the moment. especially if i try drive across town at the wrong time.

Here is my number 1-504-254-8656.
Thanks

Jeff
