Hadn't thought about snakes.

You did get me thinking about Fire Ants, though...

I use Keens for casual rounds at my local in-town course, they're great for light duty and grassy areas. Super lightweight and comfortable BUT I had to switch to Solomons for the rougher wooded courses around here in the Carolinas because I felt I needed more protection for my feet. When you are climbing over and around a 5 foot scrub pile that you just know there is a snake or six in, as well as the thorns, brambles and general plant-nasties an errand drive can find, I just feel more secure with a tougher shoe, even if I am sacrificing comfort a little.

Seen these shoes : BITE TREKKER Disc Golf Shoe
Nice Show!
Please review some more from here:
Men's Shoes
As soon as your shoes start having that much of an affect on your game and you are willing to pay more for them than your bag, it is time to do something else for a while (unless, of course, you are one of the few people that play this game for a "living").
Hey, apparently Keen Shoes has a community space online. If you like the new shoes, it might be a good idea to say something in there: keenfootware.com (courtesy of Juliana Korver on FB).
There.
Why not post on the site, wearing my Keens while posting @ DGRus!
