The end of the White era for Am Nationals

At this year's Amateur National Championships, TD Todd White announced his retirement and named the new TD, Phil Shelton.

For the past 7 years Todd has guided the USADGC at the famed Toboggan course in Milford, Michigan. Todd and his wife, Marnie have put in hundreds, if not thousands of volunteer hours and designed and administered one of the top events in America. Todd is giving up the reins but not retiring from helping with the event as he will be on staff next year. Phil Shelton was hand-picked as the replacement TD. Congratulations to the Whites. Good luck to the Shelton era.

Word is that Phil Shelton is planning to change the tournament location to a temporary nine hole course in a Walmart parking lot. This should take care of all those pesky hills.

Actually, the Walmart parking lot will only be used the first two days. After that it shifts to a K-Mart parking lot for the final 9.
