Im just curious. I am a merchandiser for 7up and have dreams to one day be free of a job and play disc golf fulltime. Yeah right......Im a worken man and Ive excepted that, but I would like to hear from some other people.
Graphic Designer/Professional Artist/Art Director for years.
And a high school graphics teacher.
After 9-11, went back to Freelance Stagehand, And convention business intalls and dismantling.(Part Time). A lot less stress from the corporate world.
Disc Player Sports (Part Time). Pursuing it to be full-time.
Yes, disc golf is a business, and very rewarding promoting such a fun sport.
I sell drugs. I usually do about 4 to 5 hundred prescriptions a day at the Rite Aid in Hillsboro, Ohio. If anyone in the "disc golf family" wants me to tell 'em if they're paying too much for their or their family's prescriptions, just e-mail me the drugs, quantities, days supply, and how much you're paying now, and how you're paying for it (insurance, discount card, etc).
The drugs just don't excite me, though. I'd rather be like that company that doesn't make anything, they just make it better... and get paid to tell businesses how I think they could improve workflow, organization, and ergonomics and stuff like that to satisfy my obsessive compulsive disorder. =)
I work at a graphics company that makes signs and ads for everything. Then I work at the family farm (veggies, fruit, etc), and I work at the farmers markets. After that I try to get some yardwork/disc golf course work done at home(if there's any daylight left).
Oh yeah, I got two great kids and and a very understanding wife, who is great too! They keep me busy too!
Where do I fit in time to Disc Golf? I don't know either. But, I try to get out there when I can, which usually gives me afternoons in the cold of MI winters.
Brick and block mason (commercial and residential) / "party" promoter. Cant use the "R" word in or around chicagoland area anymore. U dont know what I'm talkin about, then dont bother askin.
I play 1 or two rounds after work or putt and it gives me enough time to drive home eat dinner do the three S's and go to sleep and do it all over again. Kinda hurting on the body.
I'm a research scientist. Currently working in a pharmacogenetics lab @ UC but just accepted a new job as an R&D specialist at a cancer therapy company. I'm a nerd =)
I am a Architectural Project Manager and a Architect in training ( Candidate for Architectural licensing). I manage both large and small projects, and do commercial and residential designs and code analysis for a achitectural firm.
I work for an engineering and environmental company preparing Environmental Impact Reports (EIRs) for public & private development projects. Working 8-5 Monday thru Friday -- wish I had more time to throw discs, but could still make the same living...
