I have battled with this for 30 years. What are the best gloves to throw with and when are they necessary? I use them in cooler to cold weather and sometimes in rain but I have never been satisfied with the grip. Baseball batting gloves work best for the most part but the good ones are expensive. i've seen diving gloves, tennis etc. but nothing really stands out. Any thoughts?

No gloves!! Listen to lars, hand muffs are the best/warmest thing to use followed by mittens filled with hand warmers. Then you can just take the mitten off the hand you throw with, take the shot, and return your hand to the glove. The hand muff is nice because you can use both hands without having to take on and off gloves, as even using a golf glove or somthing you still need thicker outter gloves, and your hand stays wet so your fingers go numb anyway. That is just too much to have to deal with. I keep a small microfiber towel in the middle of my hand muff so you can dry your hands off with a warm towel when they are inside between shots.
