can someone give me the lowdown on how to identify first run discs? i see people advertizing thier discs as first run, but how can i confirm this? also is there a list availible of rare or collector discs?

Usually you look at the stamping first. If nothing is there to id, flip over to the underside and look for serial #'s, manufactuer, etc. Then we compare to others we find on e-bay. Or post a pic of it here!
stamping? on the front or back? what would i be looking for in the serial number? is there a number that indicates the run, number of disc in the run it is, or number of discs stamped?
sorry if these are dumb questions! i'm learning!

this link can be very helpful. lots of good info on just about anything out there.
For Discraft, all of their first runs have the words "First Run" on the disc in the foil or ink stamp. They remove the designation on subsequent runs.
