The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

Hey all...I'm a 16 year old Eagle Scout Candidate and for my Eagle Project I plan on putting in a Disc Golf Course near my hometown. Right now I'm beginning the process of raising the funds to purchase all of the needed equipment. Something I could REALLY use right now is video so that I can put together a DVD to show to some local businesses and service clubs so that they can get a better idea of what this sport is all about. Any suggestions? Also might be interested in other fundraising ideas if any of you have them. Thanks!

Hey Nathan...it's good to hear that things are starting to green up. I bet things are really looking good. I know it's hard to project a finish date but if you had to guess...approximately what would it be?
Well........we were shooting for mid-June.....but it's pretty much done nothing but rain here for the past 2 weeks and it's starting to make us wonder. There's just a lot of construction to do what with 3 sets of steps and a bridge to build.....to say nothing of the concrete work.....which as you know since you've seen the place.....will all have to be mixed on site for each hole. So we'll see....keep your fingers crossed! By the way....1 family took one of the remaining 2 holes and the guy that's gonna do my signs did take the other! So all 24 holes are now sponsored!
Nick....try this link.....

Click around but be sure to click on "Examples Of Our Work" They really ought to update more and show their BEST STUFF.....but these aren't too bad for examples.
Hey Nathan...that link doesn't seem to be working...at least not for me.
yep not working
Hmmmmmmmm.........I'll have to check and see what I screwed up! Got a question for those of you following this......We measured out what should be the final distances for the holes today and for the Pro Tee's the total distance was 7,667 ft for 24 holes.....an average of about 319 ft per hole. The Am Tees measured out to a total of 6,107 ft for 24 holes for an average of about 254 ft. per hole. What do you think about that average? While the Pro Tees are pretty much a go as to make it flow right those are about as far as they can be pushed back with perhaps a couple of exceptions.....a little more flexibility with the Ams.....but what do you think?
sounds alright, 254ft is kinda small but if its an average that is fine!...im basically in south Bend IN, (notre dame) I wouldn't mind heading down there after this semster (another week) in between my PDGA events..anyways great to see another course sprouting up..I just hope its close to me :-)....also depending on how far you are from me...I might be able to help with the bridge and steps...im pretty handy guy...(constructed with my step-bro two bedrooms in the basement and helped with the deck in the back) anyways, let me know!
I think those averages are great. I think the am tees being that length is what you want because you don't want to discourage the beginners too much. My brother has played quite a bit and you saw what he said...he said he's playing the short tees no matter what! I think the pro tees are good too. Not too long but I think they feel longer than they really are because of the tight fairways and all the hills and valleys. Still so excited to play this course hopefully in July. You better believe that I'll be coming to play this course each and every time I'm in Indiana. Can't wait to see some more pictures too with all the green! Hopefully the stairs and bridge aren't too hard to build and you can get started on the tees soon!
Old distances on the left....new distances on the right....

Nathan, do you have an idea of when the baskets will be installed...or are they already? Too many pages to read to get caught up on the info : ) My wife and I will be in the area this weekend and we were gonna try to take a peek at the course if we got a chance.
hey nathan....let me know the location of this course becuase I will be in kokomo this weekend (may 9th) for the Indiana summer series kicking off and Im sure I can grab a couple of my buddies to come view the course and give some input on it...a few of them are old time pro's and im sure they would be all for it..plus it seems like frankfort is about a half hour away from kokomo so...yeah...
