The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

So a few buddies and I are going to visit a friend at Iowa State near Des Moines in May. I know that Worlds was there in 2004 and I wondered if y'all could recommend the four or 5 best courses within an hour or two of Des Moines.

Are there any we HAVE to play?
Prettiest?

Thanks for the help.

You have to play Pickard, in Indianola. Top 10 of my 1,071 played. Don't even go to the midwest if you're not gonna play it.
ISU,has a course, boone has a course and then their is big creek, ewing ,walnut ridge and grandview.
My favorites are Walnut Ridge, Pickard and Ewing in that order. Then maybe Big Creek and finally Grandview. In May, the Lilacs are in full bloom at Ewing and are awesome.
Pickard for sure... make sure you watch out for poison ivy everywhere you go too.... I got it for the first time after playing in Iowa.
