The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

I just got done reading a discussion thread on the PDGA website.( I'm not going to be a member till next year so I couldnt add this comment there) The talk was pros at the worlds wasnt being payed enough... Fair enough I dont disagree with that. But they was talking about pulling money our of other tournaments to build up the pro payouts, to increase the growth of disc golf. I just dont think catering to pros is a answer by far. This sport is a recreational sport.

Instead of taking money to increase the pro purse, why not take a dollar out of each player entry fee on every PDGA sanction event, Then build more course? Promote the sport the best way possible, thru recreational players. Promote them instead. I think that would be better than trying to build pros and trying to get them on wheaties boxes...
