Ok so I hear this disk is good for thumbers and hammers, and they they go 400+ feet, but I have yet to see a video of anyone throwing it. I got one and I tried EVERYTHING. I tried tuning, throwing high, throwing low, backhand, forehand, tomohark, thumber, everything. When I thumb it, It tries to flip all the way over and catch itself, but fails. Any tips? Or videos of people throwing it? I'm just about ready to go up to a high cliff and thumb it right off

I think there is a video on the Aerobie web site. I also understand there are three dots on the bottom of the disc. They are suppose to be location spots as to were you put your thumb so you can make it do all that crazy stuff. I've seen people do some insane stuff with that disc.
Never noticed the dots before. Thanks. I'll have to test it some more
Bend the widest rim to the thinnest rim (bending it in half). it will look funny but it will go a lot further
Then throw it off the cliff....lol

I purchased an epic when I first started playing, because I was told it was great for overhand. Well Lets say I have come a long way since then. I tried, and tried to throw that thing. The only way I found to get some real distance was off of an elevated tee pad. Throwing overhand releasing kinda on an angle outward. When it flipped over it really carried along way. But it didn't seem to be a disc that I could throw for multiple different shots. And unfortunatly every tee I throw from isn't super elevated, so I didn't make the cut for me.
I threw it from the top of hole 3 at Cass Benton It really went a long way there.
Is that disc PDGA approved, can it be used in tournament play?
It is pdga approved .
I agree with jamie off the cliff is the best way to throw it ,or to your dog as a chew toy ,or into a large body of water to see if it floats well you get the point .
i found i throw my thumber much more father and right where i want it to go with understable disc like a viking ,or valk
Yeah Ive tried different angles, sometimes it almost works. Its supposed to flip all the way over and catch itself and glide right? its almost does it, but nosedives straight into the ground hard. One time it even get stuck in the ground lol
Yep it even says right on the discs, pdga approved
