My first was 39 years ago. I was 11. Across a canyon, behind a small ridge, a great shot to be sure, but we had no idea it was an ace until we climbed the hill and spotted it on the 2X3 wool carpet that was the 'hole'.

My first basket ace was at Morley in 1982 on old hole 13 also across a canyon with a Midnight Flyer.It eclipsed the basket from the instant I let go until it went in. It doesn't get much straighter than that.
