what is air bounce?
I think it depends what you are trying to accomplish. I one of the guys I throw with is very good at it, he loves to use it when he is out past about 40' or so, up hill, or through a low opening. He amazes me with that shot, and I can't tell you how many times he has won skins with it. But I don't see him use it in tournament play.

There are some good videos on youtube and I think even some on here. It is a shot used in ultimate a lot, but I think it's harder to throw with a disc.

It is easy to throw an airbounce with like an 86 Softie or something but I don't know why you would use it over a normal putt unless it was very situational.

Just Pitch putt and they go in.
those ultimate videos on youtube are sweet, ill have to try it!
the air bounce is a great shot that's tough to master. this is a shot that i have been working on recently, all the while having up and down success with (which i think is common for this shot). "bouncing" the disc off of the air, low to high, is obviously an extremely beneficial shot when caught in a tight, low ceiling area. most recently, i hit an air bounce shot in a b tier tourney with a low ceiling AND a head wind. i've hit some nice shots before, but nothing has ever felt or looked so true and clean leaving my hand, rising, and then flexing at the apex of the flight, and crashing center chains at a very slow and floaty pace. this also happened during the highest rated round i have ever shot as well (1019), which made the shot feel so friggin' easy. it truly can be a thing of beauty.
I love the air bounce putt

This putting sequence was one of about 4 I did. It had the most go in so I use that to impress %^)
It's too close to the basket to see the 'bounce' but it is there. Notice the nose up flight. My 'toss style' putts always seemed so weak. And they hurt my back if I tried to practice for more than a few minutes. So I started doing this new style which goes pretty strong & straight to the basket. And not much blow by if I miss.
that was intersting
As i was practicing this in the back i realized i drive like this regular right handed lol Nose down on the drive dummy
