The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

Does anybody have the info or a link to the requirements to get into worlds?  I remember a spreadsheet I saw earlier this year that listed what you needed to get an invite.  Something like the top 1% in your division in your state or 1000 points accrued from the year before, etc.

I did check the PDGA website and couldn't seem to find that info...I found everything BUT that data. Even did a search on Google and used the their search engine and it yielded nothing that I was looking for.
Thank you sir, that is what I was looking for.

Do you know if this will be similar for Rochester?
Wow, I was just asking myself the same question and started digging around a bit with no immediate success. Then I checked this site. Thanks Sean and Chuck. Gotta love DGRUS!
No reason to believe it will change. Rochester capacity is bigger than last year if needed.
I was looking at my PDGA stats and noticed there is a segregation of my points accrued in open and AM. Is this going to affect my total points to get an invite to worlds the following year? My status is AM and I have no intention of taking money in open events. I play in open because I can compete with them and my average skillset is better on average than the AM1 division here in AK. The disc golf community is pretty small here so we don’t have the same level of competition in average AM tourneys in the lower 48. I don’t want to have to sandbag here just to get points as I want to go to am worlds in 2011.

Is playing open hurting me when it comes to being in the top 25% of my division in my state?
When will the list for next year come out? I got almost 1200 point this year.
Second week of Feb 2011.
I think the whole of the AM1 division in AK bolted for Open this summer. There's almost no one left.
Nah, really only Jeremy moved up with me at the TGO. Dave talked us into it, said something about playing to the level of people you play with....etc. Brian only played open at the HFC because he wasn't sure if there was going to be an AM1 division. There are a lot of people that play AM1 still, most of them don't make it for the Homer, Kenai, and Juneau tourneys.
I was beginning to get curious after Brian moved up. I know there are more guys up North, it's just the core that I started out playing with: Kurtis, Louie, Brian, then yourself and Jeremy were starting to jump (with the exception of Louie). I was beginning to wonder if there was going to be anybody I knew to play with next year...if I can avoid the injury bug.
Understood, you'll have a lot of the same guys to play with minus Jeremy and I.
