The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

I'm sure you are all aware that Am Worlds is going on as I write on this topic....

Currently, David Wiggins Jr (who is only 15 or 16 years old) is crushing the Advanced field after posting 4 straight 1000+ rated rounds and holds a 13 stroke lead after 5 rounds at -44!

I met David and his father at the 2005 Am Worlds in Flagstaff when he was 10 years old.  Is this the next Champ?

Then there is the other "kids" playing in the Junior Divisions.

Richard Wysocki in the < 19 div. has 3 straight 1000+ rated rounds at -30, followed by Grayson Dewey at -20.....

In the <16 div. Seppo Paju and Andrew Coggin are a stroke apart at -25 and -24 with two 1000+ rated rounds!

Then there is the boys <13 div. with Triston Covington and Daichi Inoue at -18 and -12 each with a round just a point or two below 1000!!

Over the past several years the increase in the ratings of the youth movement at Worlds is just mind blowing. These kids just keep getting better and better. Personally, I think this is proof that our sport growing in a very positive direction and is also a result of the quality of the equipment and the level events being given to us.

Ya. I think i am just under 900 on some less than good rounds. Everyone calls me future at my home courses but we'll see what happens. Im throwin 400 and cashin eight for ten putts at 25 feet. I'd love to make it to worlds next year but my mom would be freakin out the whole time i was gone. O well, i dont have a problem sticking around the michigan scene for another year.
Daichi Inoue seems to be able to aim at championship in a section equal to or less than 13 years old.
I support you from Japan.
It's great to see kids out there throwing well, wish I'd have known about disc when I was 10.
Wiggins jr can throw for monster D as well

David is absolutely shellacking the field with a 27 throw lead over the nearest competitor!

Live Scoring....

what time is the final round?
I looked but there is no info. I would just keep updating the live scoring window from time to time and it will eventually list the time at the bottom and show a blank scorecard
It has been updated:

Advanced - Finals
Jul. 03, 2010 - 12:52 PM (EDT)
Location: Marion, OH
Course: Final 9 A & C

go to www.pdga.com for live scoring link....
I think I saw somewhere that the advanced finals start at 2:30 Eastern Time.
A new champion was born from Japan.
Daichi Inoue.
It is a splendid achievement since Chieko Kakimoto.
pretty much the same as any sport. youth eventually wins out over the older players.
Daichi Inoue from Japan in the <13 boys division shot a 1072 RATED ROUND?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Is that a typo? If not WOWWWW! I'll bet there are some very proud relatives over in Japan right now. Way to go!
