The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

I came home yesterday from work to find disc golf live on my dvr. It was an awesome show. It had highlights from Hudson mills metro park ( I believe from 1997), and the clip from a local getting an ace during dirty dollars. I'm writing this to say thank you to all the wives, husbands, and significant others that do little things to brighten our day!

my kim i love you.. this woman will listen to me go on about disc golf, about how my game was, about my putt i made, who i played with, all with a smile and even add "thats nice",and when i bought a new basket with a 401k check, not a word from her..luv ya kim
Agreed, My wife went with me a couple of times when I started & it didn't get her hooked (I think more of a learning curve than she wanted to take on). Still, she shares in my enthusiasm and is happy to see me doing something that I enjoy so much. I definitely feel very fortunate and blessed to have her.
My wife is amazing in a different way. Sure, she got me a practice basket for Valentine's Day five years ago, but she does not share my enthusiasm for the sport. She will sometimes walk the course with me during tournaments (while reading a book and paying no attention whatsoever) and when she does, my game improves dramatically.

Example: First round of a De La Veaga tourney I played like crap and came in DFL. Second round she walked with me and I passed up HALF THE FIELD and finished one stroke out of money.

Pro Worlds is in Santa Cruz this year and I'm dragging her kicking and screaming. Look out fogeys!
My wife doesnt totally get it but i have my kids swaying her cause they really enjoy it.
My wife doesn't get disc golf either. She has tried it and it just isn't her thing but she is still the most amazing person on earth. She got me a DGA M14 for Christmas this year and she doesn't get too grumpy when I spend 10+ hours a week at the course during spring, summer and fall. She is my soul mate and the best blessing in my life.
