Or should I be asking what would you as a disc golfer be attracted to a particular store over another? price, selection, special orders, promotions?

Selection would be at the top of the list.

A friend of mine sells discs at the course. During the warmer months he also sets up a hot dog stand (Hot dogs, bratwurst and chicken, chips and cookies, drinks). Then he will also do custom dyes and T-shirts.

Working with the local club is also a great idea. Help out with work days at the course. Maybe provide some food on the work days.

Buy lots of items that everyone wants.

And buy those unique items that are new and new to your area.
