Permalink Reply by xians421 on May 5, 2011 at 3:51pm I was putting with a Birdie until the first round @ Wailoa. Straight to an Aviar!

Permalink Reply by Donny Olow on May 5, 2011 at 1:32pm Try a less stable or older putter (worked-in). I use a newer 9 time KC aviar for anything inside 40 ft. I go to a 9 time KC that has less bead (it's more like a hard aviar putt & approach) for anything longer or low ceiling putts. A lot of top pros use this strategy. Avery Jenkins and Dave Feldberg are 2 who do this. Avery does the same thing I do.. where as Dave goes from his 10 time KC aviar to a putt and approach aviar.
Also, play more of a hyzer if U can for the shot (if U have a tight line U obviously can't play a hyzer). This will keep U closer to the basket if U miss.. and your come-back putt won't be as long.
As Brandon stated above^ ... use more legs the further out U are.
Most of it is technique.. just like everything else in Disc Golf. But, the proper disc in your hand helps a lot too.
