Anyone else seeing a discrepincy in the weight stickers on prodigy discs and the actual weight or whats actually written on the disc?

Just curious. Sold one today that the sticker said 164-166   and it also had written on it 170 grams.

crap, I just realized I spelled wrong. ack!!

I've bought all my prodigy discs from a local store, and the only model I can recall this being a problem on is the D1. There was the weight written in black by the company, and then the "actual" weight in red on the store tag. So some people who bought 174s are actually running around with 177s and such. I made sure to pick one closer to 170 lol.

they had an issue with a run of d1s that was over legal weight.. they put out a press release telling people not to use that run of discs in tourneys.

PDGA/Prodigy overwieght

ahhh... thanks Ron.

Prodigy has had all kinds of problems with their weights... New company, they're just learning and getting their procedures figured out.

We've even had a few discs that were mislabled. Being that they all just stamped "Prodigy Proto" someone manually had to mark which disc it was with a sharpie. The fact is that humans just make errors once in a while.
