Portage Lake has a 18 hole course. Brown Park in Ann Arbor should be in soon. Chuck D and Indy Lake should be in soon. all around Ann Arbor area. hope this helps. p.s. where is OU?
Oakland University.... Rochester
Dr. Lawless west of Three Rivers has been redesigned...should be done within a couple weeks. Was/is a short jump putt course on the front. New design will add about 2000'. It will still be short and technical, but 100% better than it was....
Pinconning has gone from 9 to 12, and is working on the rest of their 18.

Dan Straley is working on one just north of Midland, but I don't recall what it is called.

Brown Park, mentioned by someone earlier, is now called Mary Beth Doyle Park & Wetland Preserve. It should be constructed in mid-September.
Pinconning is pretty sweet its definitly worth checking out if you are up in that area! Went there last month saw the guys out woking on the course.
Also spoke last week with the head of Rolling Hills, who says he is still aiming at a second 18 holes there. But there is no immediacy to that project.

Plus Lakeshore, where there are 24 new holes in Ypsilanti, is going to add four more holes in September, aiming at an eventual 48+.
thats awsesome
At this point, Fort Custer (Augusta Mi.) has two completed designs The 12 hole Beach Course and an 18 Hole Layout. Both courses share holes up to and including #9. The two courses split from there. At this time the volunteers are working on 6 brand new holes and three other awesome holes to be worked on... late Fall (after the foliage dies off). We are very excited about the finished product. Which would include 12, 18, 27 & 36 holes. Look for some new hole layouts in '10. We're looking to compete with Coldbrook, Irving Park, Kimball Pines, Oshtemo and Robert Morris.

Nifty how your already trying to compete with Irving although was recently just put in the ground as well.
Hastings has a new course Hammond Hill. We have two basket locations and 2 sets of tee pads. The next project out there is cement tee pads on the longs.
I played Hammond Hills earlier on in the late Spring-early Summer '09. I really liked it. At that time it was fairly rough going. Have the fairways been smoothed out since then? Glad to see you have putting in cement tee pads. Should be really dynamite in a couple of years.

There is a possible course going in at East China Township Park (by DTE Power Plant, Marine City). It's part of their 5-year master plan. Parks & Rec discussed it at their monthly meetings for almost a year. Not much has been said in the past few months though. :(

A man named Mr. Beattie is the contact. Also mentioned is a Mr. Ebelt. They had a possible layout and needed to bring info to the meetings regarding the potential cost of the course. Haven't heard anything since.
