The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

Alright, maybe this has been discussed before but I am new so here we go...Anyone still have their first disc they ever bought for dgolf? I bought a green Champion Beast when I was a freshman in high school and lost the first day I threw with it (I was bad), bought an orange one to replace it, found the green one a week later and played with it until a few years ago. I would not let that thing go...I even parked it in a huge pond and by the grace of god it actually floated on some sort of air bubble and spent 40 min tossing rocks to make waves to move it closer. I ended up going into the water and pulled out like 8 discs including a First Run Champion Edition Firebird and a stiff Cobra with a Disc Golf Weekend (1997) stamp, both of which I still have. It now resides on my wall with my other first runs and my Ace Destroyer. Gotta love that thing for staying with me so long...

A Viper and an Aviar. Both worthless. I was so happy when I was able to buy from a place with a selection. Those two discs were all that Big 5 Sporting Goods carried.
Actually, I do. Its a champion beast and now its in the wife's bag.
My first disc was a dx shark...in dark red. Still have it, still use it.
The only disc I still have from the beginning is an orange Aviar putter from a starter set. Ever thought about returning those found discs? We have a shop here in town where you can drop them off and they call the owners. Easy, easy, and honest.
I still have mine it was a Deuce (I think its Discraft) It now serves me in a new role however just as important.
did you pick up some BBQ too??

i have my first disc...175gr white gazelle purchased in one of those innova three packs around 1996. it also came with a red aviar and a blue shark. those are long gone. i still keep the gazelle in the bag for low flips and rollers.

yes, I have the blue 172g KC Pro Eagle I bought at the gas station right down the road from Rosedale Park, in Kansas City, KS....in Sep. of 2001.
Still have my first purchased disc.

Classic Roc, Dischovering Cental Florida stamp.

It's cracked, but will never get rid of it.
Discraft Maurader circa 1992 White - nice conversation piece, along with my Long Ranger and my original (now cracked) XD
I have two that I carry in my bag from my first batch of discs. A blue Shark and a white Soft Rhino Special Edition. The shark I use for midrange and longer putts and I still putt with my soft Rhino. Both are about 10 years old. I get comments on both. People are shocked that I use the Shark with such regularity but I just smile and let the sound of the chains be my answer. LOL!!
