I just got L5 s what ever fused on the 24th... not any fun! Though I can feel my foot again after not being able for a few years so I think thats good. I know some of you have had to have this done as well, how long did you take off from playing disc golf, and how long is safe? I am not going to be a cowboy and jump right back into it as soon as I feel okay, but I do love playing and want to get back as soon as I can. I am going to listen to the Doc and when she says it's okay as well. Just kinda wondering how long you guys waited?

My experience was shoulder surgery, so I can't answer "how long".  But consider this:

My return, probably yours too, was in stages.  A big moment was when I could putt from 15', just because I missed throwing discs.  Then 20'....25'....30'....40'....50'.   150' was a nice benchmark because it felt like a throw.  I suggest easing back, with putting practice and putting games.

Which splits your questions into two:  When can I start playing, and when can I start playing fully?

Yeah I had already been planing the day when I can walk far enough to do 9 holes, have my wife drive and do her upshot then once it's close I'll putt.... and like you said as I get better, I'll start putting from her driver.
No advice, but I wish you a SPEEDY and Painless recovery Skipper. :)

My brother plays, and he has had the fusion done twice. He didn't pick it up til years later, but he had never heard of disc golf til I started playing. My buddy John and his wife play, he had his done about 6 monthes ago and he has been ready to play for a while, but has just been too busy, so I haven't seen him really get on it yet.

It doable brother, I've seen it.
