Permalink Reply by David Sauls on August 29, 2011 at 8:02am My experience was shoulder surgery, so I can't answer "how long". But consider this:
My return, probably yours too, was in stages. A big moment was when I could putt from 15', just because I missed throwing discs. Then 20'....25'....30'....40'....50'. 150' was a nice benchmark because it felt like a throw. I suggest easing back, with putting practice and putting games.
Which splits your questions into two: When can I start playing, and when can I start playing fully?

Permalink Reply by Dookville on August 30, 2011 at 12:49pm My brother plays, and he has had the fusion done twice. He didn't pick it up til years later, but he had never heard of disc golf til I started playing. My buddy John and his wife play, he had his done about 6 monthes ago and he has been ready to play for a while, but has just been too busy, so I haven't seen him really get on it yet.
It doable brother, I've seen it.
