The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

This is the second tournament in a row that I tried to be nice and it has cost me strokes ,yesterday during the first day of our state championships 2nd round I asked for a spot on a disc eating hole and was over ruled by group consensus my disc turned over early went into a stand of spruce and I was the only one to get a decent look at where it went.I walk down to spot for the other 3 (mistake) the group looks for 3 minutes and we start the clock (after a over 10 minute look 2 holes previous for a competitors disc)I take a stroke penalty for lost disc and end up with a 8 on a hole that at worst should be a 5.so word to the wise be mean and stand your ground, insist on spotters .I know i'll be digging in my bag and not watching throws today, nice guys dont finish first in tournaments.

Sorry that has you so down, but I've won plenty of tournaments while being nice.
He even got an ace while being nice!
I disagree with this. I am never "mean" and have won a few tourneys. When I lost it was my playing not other golfers.
I wouldnt want to be mean but I here ya man and that sucks. Ill keep it cool but that shit sounds lame, if your spotters cant keep it cool than make sure you have a good toss and keep a good eye on it. I learned alot from this post, and this being your experience Im sure you learned even more. Better luck in the future bro!
