the stats on the beast for turn and fade are the same as the valkyrie, but the speed and glide are greater (beast: S:10, G:5, T:-2, F:2 - valkyrie: S:9, G:4, T:-2, F:2). I love my champ valks, but I want to get a little more distance. does the beast fly like a valk, only a little further due to speed and glide? anyone with experience, speak up; good or bad. thanks.

You may want to try a Star Valk.
I really like the champ plastic and find that, for whatever weird reason, I can control the champ plastic better than the star. For my drivers, anyway. I do like and use the star for mids (Skeeter and Shark) and my putter/approach (Aero). I don't know why, it just is.
I have a champ beast and it needed to take a beating before it had any kind of control-ability. I, like you chris love my champ valk and is the easiest driver to control i carry. Unfortunately, IMO i believe that if you want more distance you will have to sacrifice so control-ability for the time being to learn a longer flying disc. I think a good fit for you would be a champ wraith or surprisingly a star katana. I say star because it will last longer and you will find it to be much more of a consistent flier after being broken in than a pro katana because the pro will beat in too quickly and become too under stable.

Donny had a good point with the Star Valk too. Star discs tend to be over stable when new so you may be able to get more distance with one when trowing with more power

its up to you my friend. Don't be afraid to experiment
Put it this way Chris, i put my 2 valks up on Discaroo for trade or sell. I have 3 beasts in my bag, will never go away. Beast was my first love, and flies beautifully. all mine are 175, 2 in Star, 1 in Champ. My bag turns more and more Discraft each passing week, but i vow to keep the beast. It's just clutch.
Katana
The Beast is a great Disc...until they beat up and it's just another understable roller. The Valk...never really was that fond of them....seemed really unpredictable to me in any condition...all over the place. If I didn't know better....I'd say it was a Discraft driver...lmao!!!
Well I prefer the Valk, but I only have them in CE plastic. So I find them a bit more reliable than a Champ Beast. As for the speed difference. You have to remember, speed is what you much be able to reach to make that disc fly the way it was intended. It does not mean the disc will fly further.
I carry both. My Valks are my go to, placement, controllable driver. My Beasts are my longer, bomb it drivers. Of course, this is from a guy that says "bomb drive" meaning 350'. I don't have a huge arm so they work great for me.
I carry both. Valks in star and champion, beast in champ. The valk is the easiest driver to learn and manipulate for me. And its as long ,give or take fifteen feet, as my beast. But it is reliable and predictable. Use my beast for windier head wind shots. Both nice drivers.
Thank you everyone for your replies. Rescue, your comment really makes me think about the rating system and thank you for that observation. Jamie...that was just friggin' funny.
doesent the valk hold the distance record going on like ten years now? what is gonna give you more distance? i'm guessing its the archer not the arrow, just some food for thought not a shot at you.
Valk al the way. I carry both but tend to slid more for Valk. Champ and Star. Both of my Beast ,Pro, fly strong and fade right. I only use them for those shots. The Valk's are my everything "long" drivers.
