Why is it that you go to a public park, disc golf course, you always seem to find a few beer cans about? And drink bottles of various varieties.
Every time.
And they throw them into the woods. No one will find them?
What's up with this?

Any solutions?

Signed: tired of picking them up!

Ignorant thirsty people. They will never cease.
i just pick them up, and toss them in the trash can. i figure the guy that left them had some dissorder, or something in their head that makes them think the place looks prettier with them there. but i like my suroundings prestine.
What is the name of the disorder commonly associated with the lack of respect for your surroundings, other people and yourself?
I often use the example that if those of us that pick up after you didn't, how would you play golf? And then after a while it got a foot thick all over the course. Would you just kick the trash out of the way so you could throw.
I hear people all the time talk about this course or that course and how much nicer it'd be if they didn't have all that trash everywhere.
the worst is broken bottles. i have dogs.
greens fees. if everyone threw out their trash then whose trash would i throw out to do my part?
i do hate at when i'm at doubles and i pick up a can or bottle that's still cold and i know that one of the guys there just dropped a few min back.
from cooler, to mouth. back to cooler, to trash.
they pick up their marker , and lose their beer. last sunday the day after safri golf i went and looked in the cave with a better light, and low n behold there was mine. i'm glad i went back i would hate to have left it for someone else. i almost always pack it out!
go to the closest store to your home course ,put your name and # on all the beverage containers and you'll never see them again. If you leave 175 g of garbage on the course that means you can keep that 175g ce valk you just found right.
Goes way back, "Pack it in, pack it out.
Do the Right thing.
hey now, anymore I'm thinking that the cans are left for the homeless people to recycle or as a marker to remind themseleves they already played that hole,ha.Wonder who picks up after them at home?
Our local disc golf club started a campaign to keep the course clean. We then took another step and became part of the Keep Weatherford Beautiful campaign but sponsoring the course an adjoining roadway. It seems to really help when it doesn't seem like you're the only one picking up trash. We now get told on a regular basis, our course is the cleanest and nicest in the whole DFW area.
Just this past week, I was at the course and finished my round. There is a picnic table between hole eighteen and the practice basket by the parking lot that people hang out at. I don't smoke but there get to be so many butts on the ground around that area that I decided it was time to clean them up again. We usually play a butt round every other month and do the same at every teebox. Anyway, I started and before I finished three other guys were helping pick them up. Only took a couple minutes and we picked up close to a hundred. Oh and one of the guys that helped is one of the top players in the world.
