BEER Cans

Why is it that you go to a public park, disc golf course, you always seem to find a few beer cans about? And drink bottles of various varieties.
Every time.
And they throw them into the woods. No one will find them?
What's up with this?

Any solutions?

That helps alot, we do have trash cans on every other hole and they get dumped every week so the never overflow, even on holiday weekends.

Here in Huntsville you will see that kind of thing, but for the most part the courses are clean. I'm one of those that is ANAL about cigarette butts. I smoke, and nothing chaps my ass worse than seeing butts laying all around a trash can. C'mon, the trash can is a couple of feet away. But I still lean down (Bad back and all) and pick up several butts every round.

I have to clean butts out of my putter pocket after every day of play. If I have some beer with me, I carry the can or bottle with me to the next trash can before I open another one. It's simple courtesy to everyone that plays the course as well as yourself. When I see trash laying around I have to think "I hope they don't teach their children to be slobs like they are.". If I see a can sitting up somewhere in the middle of a hole then I'm sure someone put it down for their next throw and forgot to pick it back up. That's ok, but seeing them lying around the back of a teepad or near trashcans just bothers me.

maybe the people who throw trash is the forest, do it so the people who recycle or collect cans and bottles can have a scavenger hunt

I almost allways end up leaving the course with more cans the I brought, With the group that I lead it's sorta our signature.. We bring a cart and trash bags every time for this reason alone...One thing that helps out a ton is that MI has a deposit and we get cash towards the next round. but also not being a d-bag and setting a example for others is priceless..
