The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

I have read that a lot of disc golfers play catch to warm up for a tourney or casual round. Do you use a golf disc? Is there a good catch disc that you like to use?

Oh yeah....great catch disc....high profile putter....nice and slow...good "float"

I would say # 1 by Discraft in the modern era...Rattler

and I would say # 1 by Innova/Hero...modern era....Sonic

Can't forget about the 44.....77.... etc...and the Super Puppy...and the Shuttle Puppy...all great catch discs approved for play.....Vintage Class!!!
i personally prefer the chains to catch whatever disc i throw...lol
from personal experience it is the " blow fly". i still have bad memories from a roc, aviar, and a buzzz....
Preferring the chains to catch limits certain growth in a lot of skills. an hour of catch once a week at different ranges can teach you a lot. Especially with a rattler. Without a rattler... your not rattlin chains....
.

my regimen utilizes a 160 Zephyr initially, to "unwind"/"stretch" my body -
finishing with a 175 Polecat for some snappy wrist-action warmup.

both are hand-friendly discs...

discraft flick
Pole cat's good... I like the Sonic better...something about that fastback profile...with some meat to it.

it's a shame it's not a tree friendly disc...easy to crack...one good hit it's done.
an epic
there's the answer!! R darts are the best, soft and wont hurt your hand!!
I just had a horrible vision of an epic thumber spiralling unpredictably toward my face.
A Wham-O 71C* I got from the 1995 National Dbls Tournament in Round Rock.
r-pro avair, or roc.
