The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

I'm becoming more familiar with the Twin Cities, but very unfamiliar to the courses... Let alone the better ones. Could you guys help me out a little bit?

Thanks Paul

Just got back from a weekend of discing over there.

Blue Ribbon Pines, East Bethel. 27 holes, amazing. It costs $5/day.

There are some other fine courses, but most suffer from erosion and vandalism, and some are just too crowded.
C.P. Adams in Hastings is solid
Hyland in Bloomington is on a ski resort. Used in the Majestic
Kaposia Park in South St. Paul is also used in the Majestic.
North Valley at Inver Grove Heights used to be a good course, not sure if it's still there.
Same with Oakwood Park in Cottage Grove. Last I heard they were taking it out :(
Lions Park in Shakopeee was a decent enough course - kinda flat if i remember right.
Either Lone Lake Park in Minnetonka or Bryant Lake Park in Eden Prairie was really good, the other was alright. Can't remember which one was which. (I think Bryant was the better one.)
and Acorn Park in Roseville is good if I remember right, though I couldn't tell you a thing about it.

Avoid Red Oak park in Burnsville, Sumac plants 10 ft. tall. Impossible to find a disc.

Let me know if you want more detail on anything, I may have it stashed away somewhere. Also I know plenty of courses in ND, SD, MN, WI, IA, & KS/MO.
Red Oak is re-done. I, too, had avoided it for years, but now it's good.
Here's a list of everything we have in Minnesota: http://tinyurl.com/2xmlq8

Blue Ribbon Pines, Bryant Lake Park, and Kaposia would probably be my choices in the MSP area. BRP and Bryant Lake just for the amazing landscaping, if nothing else (since they both dropped a LOT of coin on those course designs). Acorn is a fun course (especially for us lefties), but it is almost always crowded...probably the most crowded course in the State. Hope that helps!
