Best Portable Basket

Hello,

I'm looking to purchase a portable basket and was looking at the dga mach lite.  Anyone have opinions on this basket or better ones that you may have used?

I've had my Innova Skillshot for about two years and it is starting to tear at the top and bottom of the basket.  I'm considering getting something more durable, but I like the small target and it can be a harder basket to putt on.

The worst thing about the Mach Lite is if you miss low the legs can take a chunk out of your disc. I was playing on one throwing up shots and noticed alot of cuts on the edge of my disc from it. Its also kinda of a pain to set up....

It looks pretty easy to set up from video I've seen. What has given u trouble? Also is there any way u could put something over the legs to keep from destroying discs?

The one I was using didn't want to stand up, like there was a issue in manufacturing. You could put something around the legs but if you have to spend all the extra time setting it up, it takes away the point of a portable IMO. 

 

I have a Innova Discatcher for trips, a Gateway one with triple chains for my main putting basket, and a really old on that has a wood base and one set of plastic chains that I've had for 15 years or so. I use it for when I really need to work on putting, if you can make putts on that you can putt on any basket.

 

If your looking to buy one, buy one that fits what you need. If you plan to set it up in the back yard and leave it there most of the time then anything is good. If your using it for travel then you need to look into something that easy to set up and store.

I really like the DGA M-14, I got 2 of them $140 each shipped. then for an extra $20 each bought extra chains from Lowes, giving each basket 21 chains. They catch fairly well and they break down into 5 pieces in about a minute, weigh about 30lbs each.

I own a M-14 and I've found a Christmas wreath bag works great as a carrying case.

I have a Mach lite and I like it a lot. No problems with it chewing up discs. Easy to setup and breakdown to take anywhere.

Just Bought one of these Used and in Great condition for $ 150.00. Totally portable with Wheel !!!  You have to look around and check out different websites , Facebook , Craigs list , etc.

 

Other wise , just get the DGA Mach Lite.  I also have one and they are Great !!!!
