Hadn't seen anybody up this as of yet....

They claim the new course will open June 1st....they were out last weekend handing out maps, so I figured I would share one for anybody who hadn't seen it yet.

New "Black Locust" Course @ Kensington

Just to clarify, the thing @ the bottom right is the new (albeit it atrociously small) parking lot.

Anyone who knows ANYTHING knows that the OLD practice area is the best place to tee to hole 1, NO MATTER where hole 1 ends........
If you want to look at it on Google Earth, the first tee on that map is at 42.526942, -83.633073.

thanks for the heads up on that one......sometimes I still wonder how we were able to survive and/or be sufficiently entertained with life before google.
Thanks for posting the map- cannot wait to play the course with baskets! How much longer will the Tunnel be in for? Anyone know who came up with the name for the course? Dig It!
Anyone have hole measurements?
no measurements yet.....but you can go take a look for yourself. I even have an "inside man" and can't get a more informational map :P

As far as the course as it is now....they said the new course is opening june 1st (although I'm still wondering if they didn't mean to say july 1st...) and it's not an entirely new course....a lot of existing holes will be used. There's been a rumor for awhile that they plan to have a tournament there before the new course opens, however I haven't heard anything specific yet, and the "black locust" is supposed to open on june 1st....I have a hard time envisioning it happening.

Hope to hear more soon.
the pre-tunnel removal tournament is most likely gonna happen. club kensington is planning on putting one on. go to discgolfscene.com and join it, then search for the club and add to favorites, that way you will get info about stuff.
doubles on sundays 11:45 cut off meet at practice basket $5, $2 optional ace pool. ace pool over $450 i believe.
thanks for the info....I will most definitely look into this
