The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

I am doing lots of research on which portable basket to buy.  Im looking at the Innova Skillshot basket or the Mach Lite basket.  I know one is like 30 dollars cheaper than the other and thats not something i care about one bit.  I just want to know if any of you out there have either one, know anyone that does and can give some insight.  Im really looking for whichever one can really resemble a real basket more.  To me the Innova one looks kinda flimsy? I don't know if thats the word I want but the Mach Lite just seems to be the better choice just by looks alone....

If you want an inexpensive basket that looks like a "real" basket, look at the "Instep" basket (online @ Ebay). I have has one for 3 years now and it has held up great.
i also own an instep basket.. Added some secondary chains for another $15 and now its really nice
I have the Skillshot. It's approved by the PDGA for tournament play. It has a single set of chains, but they're along the outer edge of the basket, and catch everything that hit true. I haven't had one go through or miss because there's only one set. I've had it going on two years. The chains are beginning to corrode--it's lived in a shed in my backyard--but other than that, it's still like new.
These are lite weight and work great !!!!

I also have These Portables , but are a bit heavier !!!!

I actually just took my mach lite out today for the first time in a while. It is a great portable basket. It gives you the sound of chains and the different chain configuration catches really well. It sets up and breaks down in like 30 seconds. It is heavier than the innova but with that nothing on it is made of plastic and is very durable. It comes with a carrying bag which is really useful. We carried mine today to the back section of a large park and it wasn't too bad. Moving it around isn't bad either. I am sure the skillshot is lighter and easier to move but to me it just isn't a basket like the mach lite is. I have some friends with the instep and it is a good cheap basket but for the sake it breaks down like lightning and is easy to move around I would go with the Mach Lite. I know 3 other people with it and they are glad they got them. For a better basket look at the $400+ ones...but for portability I would go with the Lite.
I have a skillshot and love it. It is smaller than a normal basket so I know if I can hit it I can hit the baskets at the course. I have had very few shots blow through.
you could always make oneeee
I have a Mach Lite and i like it a lot. Its size of a normal basket (skill shot is a lot smaller) and it has a lot of chains, some practice baskets have minimal amount of chains which i dont really care fore
