Permalink Reply by JJ Coutts on February 13, 2009 at 10:29am Sorry to hear about your accident. Maybe it is time practice your one-legged putting?
There is an art to learning how to fall. But on some angles and situations you are screwed. Then you can only develop the ability to heal quickly.
Because my sidearm driving form, bent over and low to the ground, I fall every time my plant foot slips out. So pretty regularly in snow or ice or mud. I have found that once the plant foot goes, it does no good to try to recover my balance. So at that point I do two things: save the shot by continuing to follow through and continuing the follow through into a roll so I may get muddy but won't get hurt.

Permalink Reply by get your discs and godiscn on February 14, 2009 at 1:47pm and then today I went ahead of my two fellow players to show them the safe path down the hill. 6 steps proved that it was safe. The 7th and I was on my back. My chair flew 12 feet behind me and I was lucky not to break anything.Stevo, that sucks. You did this on the course ?
The best advice that I picked off of DGRUS was screws in the bottom of my boots. I love the little grip it gives me. Take care of that break so you can beat me in the final day at the 2009 Worlds.
