Why are some courses brighter than others?
looks like there's a lot of courses off of lake michigan. i guess i know where to move if i had too.

Brighter lights probably represent overlapping courses meaning courses that are close enough in distance from one another to appear as one point. Cool. Would make a good tee-shirt with each point made of glow in the dark material but that's just me thinking.
The size of the circle representing a course is proportional to the number of holes the course has. So, bigger courses are brighter. Also, some places have overlapping courses, which also makes for a brighter point.

I don't have the rest of the world, due to a lack of latitude and longitude data. In the U.S., the zip code gives at least approximate coordinates. I also include Canada and Mexico.

yeah i would say that wisconsin the the center of the disc golf universe!!! or at least the wisconsin, minnesota, iowa area.

It is different by a state, but it is very splendid that there is such a course.
The Japanese courses increase little by little, too, but it is not compared with U.S.A.
It is enviable.
