Clinics in Michigan

Will there be any clinics in lower Michigan in June? And how do I find out about them?

what does ranked amateur mean? what am i ranked if i took second in state last year in am3? i was just saying that i always give pointers when i play with others.

now now fellas, whats the first rule of discgolferr.us? i live in the area that mark susually likes to have these clinics, and i'm pretty shure there has only been one clinic a year the past three years or so. if you really want help and pointers call Mark Ellis or contact him on this site. not to mention that he a lot of good plastic in the back of his trailblazer that he sells for more than a reasonable price, oh and how can you resist his cooler of great beer that he always has. you could pretty much say that mark is a disc golf ambassador/legend/god. oh yea if you see me on the course i would be glad to help you out as well

ConniJo, if by clinic you mean one that it filmed then published on the internet, then please contact Jim Kenner or Brian Sullivan at Discraft.com and express your interest. I think there are a lot of Pros who would be happy to host one in whatever part of the world they can be tracked down in. In fact, many Pros like to teach the game and feel honored to be asked to help.

IMO a teaching clinic is one of the best things a disc manufacturer can do to generate good will and benefit the sport. But I do not get a vote on this issue. So the more players who contact the manufacturers with requests, the more teaching clinics there will likely be. Companies actually get few players who contact them with feedback, so they guess what players are thinking. It is my impression they want feedback and respect their customers preferences.

If by a teaching clinic ConniJo means one-on-one instruction then that is much easier to acquire. I visit Frisbee golf courses regularly and love to teach. There is an awfully good chance I will be in Michigan in June. So, ConniJo or others, give me a call. I'm happy to go out with you or you and a group of your friends. [phone]

Thanks, Mark, I was hoping you would respond. I will contact Discraft, as I would love to attend a clinic with a bunch of people. I will also give a (rebel) yell when I get to Michigan and see where you are and if you are available. And another holler to any other locals who would like to help me out. Thanks to all of you!
