If anyone out there is an original 1981 Clash of the Titans fan like I am, I'll bet you thought the new remake was as lame as I thought it was....
2010 version:
Acting that makes you fall asleep
A jet black Pegasus?
The Kraken is Hades son?
Where are the real gifts from the Gods..... Sheild, helmet etc...
The people declare war on the Gods?
What were those stone skinned things again?
We get to see Andromeda twice?
Perseus ends up with who in the end? It was not Andromeda...

What a waste of $15.00 and 2 hours.....

I am going to have to rent the original just to get the bad taste out of my mind....

bubo
The owl gets a cameo.....
I thought the 1981 movie was horrible. I can only imagine how awful this must be.
Well, I have to agree it wasn't the best movie out there even at the time. But over the years it has become a classic and was in fact Ray Harryhausen's last film. The other thing about the original is that it at least had a plot and kept somewhat close to true Greek myths. They should have never stole the title of the original. If this was supposed to be a remake it wasn't even close.
I am also a fan of the first movie and I was excited about seeing this remake...but after your review...I will also wait till the remake comes out in rentals.
I usually like to rent or maybe purchase the DVD when it is released after seeing a film at the theater, but this time I am going to skip it...
ditto
I always wanted to know how they get the Kracken back in his "cage" once it is released ? scooby snacks?
Cheese Whiz.....
